Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us, the people who run DataLens Learn at learndatalens.com. By using the site you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and in plain language. If something isn't clear, email us.

What DataLens is

DataLens Learn is a site for learning programming and data skills, one short module at a time. Each module has a lesson, practice questions and a code editor that runs your code and checks your answers. Your code runs inside your own browser, not on our servers.

A large part of the site is free. DataLens Pro unlocks every module and every track project (see below).

Using the site fairly

Please don't:

If an account breaks these rules, we may suspend or close it. Where we can, we'll tell you first and explain why.

Who owns what

The lessons, questions, solutions, datasets, design and code of DataLens are ours (or used with permission) and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning, including saving notes and code snippets for yourself. You may not republish or sell them.

The code you write in the exercises and the playground is yours.

No guarantees

We work hard to make the lessons accurate and the site reliable, but we provide DataLens "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or that it will get you a particular job, grade or result. Lessons are for learning; check anything important before relying on it at work.

We may change, improve or retire parts of the site over time. If we ever have to shut DataLens down, we'll give Pro users reasonable notice.

Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, that come from using or not being able to use DataLens. If we are responsible for something, the most we'll owe you is the amount you paid us for Pro. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can't be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If we disagree about something, let's first try to sort it out by email. If that doesn't work, the dispute will be settled by the courts of Indonesia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we'll also post a notice on the site. Continuing to use DataLens after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes never take away Pro access you've already paid for.
